The window of opportunity is highest between birth and age six, but especially great between the ages of birth and age three. |

An infant’s brain is hard-wired to learn a language naturally. The window of opportunity in the human brain for developing languages is highest between birth and age six. A child’s natural capability to learn a language in the first three years of life is so great that he or she can learn as many languages as they are exposed to. A child’s natural ability gradually declines so that basic connections can no longer be made in the brain around age nine or ten when conventional schooling begins to offer foreign language instruction. Children are therefore often introduced to foreign languages too late to be of value. Baby Lingua knows that it’s never too early for language instruction— but it can be too late! Baby Lingua uses songs, games and movement specially designed to teach young children while their minds are programmed to learn a language naturally. |

The ability to learn a foreign language decreases with age. |
